DIRECTIONS
Take A36 from Salisbury or Southampton to Whaddon which is about 3 miles south-east of Salisbury. Leave A36, follow signs to West Grimstead, then East Grimstead. At T junction in centre of village turn right and proceed over hump back bridge and park by church. Pedestrian access only is available by following the public footpath between the church and the hump back bridge in a
westerly direction for 350 yards to the end of the field and the land will be found straight ahead. To gain access cross footpath into stubble field to the south and cross fence at first convenient position.
DESCRIPTION
The land comprises about half an acre amenity land in a secluded location to the south-west of the village of East Grimstead and bordering a stream (dries out). Access is only by foot along a footpath. The land is generally overgrown and requires clearing subject to any necessary consents.
On a historical note part of the land comprises a short section of the old Andover to Salisbury canal which was constructed in the 19th Century but never used as the route was never completed. There are clear signs of the old canal still visible.
